Your inventory lives on your device

Everything you add — your items, counts, lists, photos and receipts — is stored right in your browser, on your device. There's no account to create and nothing is uploaded to a server unless you turn on sharing.

Sharing (Sync) is optional

If you switch on Sync to share a list across your household, your list is stored under a private passphrase you choose. It's identified only by a scrambled version of that passphrase — Scantry can't read who you are from it. Turn Sync off and nothing leaves your device. Photos and receipts never sync; they stay on the device that took them.

No ads, no tracking, no selling

There are no ads, no analytics trackers following you around, and your data is never sold or shared with anyone. There's no profile of you, because there's no account.

Reminders (if you turn them on)

If you opt in to daily reminders, your device registers with your browser's own notification service so Scantry can send you a gentle nudge. You can turn this off any time, and it forgets you.

You're in control

• Export a backup of everything, any time.
• Delete all data from Settings whenever you like — it's gone for good.
• Uninstalling or clearing your browser removes your local copy.
